Different reactions from the Nigerian literati has trailed the prestigious Etisalat Prize for Literature Flash Fiction 2016 judging panel’s announcement made yesterday, January 11, 2017 at about 11pm on its various social media platforms last night giving reasons why it felt the award will not be given in 2016. The reactions have been ridiculous, rude and downright funny with some insinuating foul play on the part of the telecommunications giant and some berating the use of public votes to judge stories which should be the purview of accomplished writers.
