She earned a BA in Geography from the University of Ghana, an MA in International Studies from Ohio University, and a PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. She attended OLA Girls Secondary School, Ho. Medie is represented by Kiele Raymond at Thompson Literary Agency.

The conversation centred around the author’s writing – academic and literary, her activism to end gender-based violence and how she writes her stories in quiet (which is rare as writers are known to be inspired by music), her writing process for The Landlord and The Burning and how she manages to stay out of the limelight especially when she was asked her stance on J.K. Rowling’s remarks on Twitter. In all, it was an enjoyable session and a perfect finish to the series.
