The festival was held between September 7 – 11, 2016 at Fugard Theatre/Book Lounge and organised in partnership with The Fugard Theatre, The District 6 Museum, The Townhouse Hotel, The French Institute, The Canada Council for the Arts, NORLA, Goethe-Institut, The Embassy of Denmark, The Embassy of Finland, The Dutch Foundation for Literature, The Publishers Association of New Zealand, The US Consulate, Caine Prize and Central Library and sponsored by Leopards Leap, The Kingdom of the Netherlands Consulate General, The City of Cape Town, Open Society Foundation, Pan Macmillan, NB Publishers, Jonathan Ball, Penguin Random House, the Western Cape Government, Times Media Films, CCIBA and UCT Creative Writing Department.
It featured a lot of interesting booksy things – poetry sessions by our Adrian co-ordinated InZync Poetry (South Africa) and did you see Koleka Putuma, Toni Stuart and co slaying on those mics…and Elnathan John, Michael Wrong, Yewande Omotoso, @feministrogue, Nnedi Okorafor, Petina Gappah and a whole of fabulously talented authors (Don’t want to name-drop…)
