A poet or author will win in each language category: IsiXhosa, English or Afrikaans making a total of three winners. The winners will be mentored for 3 months by an established poet or author. Prose winners shall produce a short story during the mentorship. And poets will be expected to produce up to three poems. The pieces will be published in New Contrast’s special Rising Stars Edition, summer 2016.
