He was until his untimely death, a  veteran writer and media trainer, who lectured in language and literature at Mzuzu University, Lilongwe.

I may only have started on his books (Sekani’s Solution (1980) Bitter Disapproval (1987) The Luke Charm (2011) ) only recently but his life through his works remains a source of inspiration to many Malawian writers, journalists, students and even plain old boring readers like my humble self in his country and Africa as a whole.

His legacy in Malawian media development and literature will remain memorable as an ethno-writer; a lecturer; award winner; a founder of Pen Point School of Journalism; and a mentor.
