Nigerian-American author Chinelo Okparanta has won a Lambda Literary Award for her novel ‘Under The Udala Trees.
The Lambda Literary Awards, or Lammys, celebrate the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender books of the year.
This is her second Lammy Award; she first won in 2014 for her short story collection Happiness, Like Water.
