Asymptote Journal is thrilled to announce the third edition of Close Approximations, international translation contest. Open to emerging translators, this contest invites translations in two genres: fiction and poetry. The winner and two runners-up of each category will walk away with 1,000 and 250 US dollars respectively.
In addition to winning prize money, there will be a feature of the winners in the April 2017 issue (and quite possibly partner newspaper, The Guardian, as well, via Translation Tuesday showcase).
